2016 Q1: Dividend Income

Over the first quarter of 2016 I received €335 in dividend income. In total 18 different companies sent a payment my way for being a loyal shareholder.

I am invested mostly in dividend paying companies but there are also two holdings that don’t pay a dividend: Berkshire and Alphabet.

The majority of the dividend came from Coca-Cola, McDonalds and Proctor&Gamble, these three companies alone were responsible for exactly 50% of my total dividend income!

Lately my dividend income has not been growing as fast anymore because I made investments in some low dividend stocks and no-dividend paying stocks.

The stocks I added in Q1 are:

  • Walt Disney (DIS)
  • Alphabet (GOOG)
  • Nike (NKE)
  • Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B)

In the upcoming 2nd quarter my dividend income will most likely be significantly higher because of two Dutch companies paying a yearly dividend.

P.S. I will now be posting quarterly income reports, this presents a more balanced overview and will save me quitte some work at the same time :).
